A friend recommended this place to me, and it truly did not disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Came here last minute as reviews were good and we'd not eaten here before. We were initially a little worried as it was mothers day and we were able to book a table for 5 people in the afternoon, but we had nothing to worry about. The food was amazing! Mongolian lamb was the best! Both salt and pepper and bbq ribs were yummy, gyozas were crunchy and tasty, too. Special shout to the Singapore noodles! Mum was very happy! Service was great and nothing was too much trouble,our server even showed us how to hold chopsticks properly! A great time was had by all so thank you to everyone that helped us have a great mothers day. We'll be back!
Wow! What a lovely place…. Walked by earlier in the day curious to see their menu and decided to have dinner there. Arrived about 8, no reservation and got sat down immediately. Had a bowl of complimentary prawn crackers that were crisp and tasty and we ordered the steamed dim sum platter, crispy duck platter, Mongolian lamb platter, special fried rice and soft shell crab…Tsing Tao and a delicious Elderflower cooler… when ordering the dim sum our server warned us about the sweet custard bun in the dim sum collection and asked if we would like to swap for a savoury - which we declined and happy we did! Dim sum was hot, delicious and juicy… the custard bun was soft, fluffy and sweet but not too sweet… the duck and lamb were tasty and crispy - not greasy like some versions we have tried, along side the special fried rice that had juicy prawns and soft chunks of meat….every bite was amazing and staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this little gem and will define coming back!
This was our second visit since our first only two weeks ago and it looks like we’ll be back many more times in the future. A friendly welcome awaited us when we arrived before being shown to our table. We started with a non alcoholic cocktail while we looked at the menu. This is an extensive menu with a wide selection of Starters , Dim Sum , Rice Dishes , Noodles , Mains , Soups , Ramen and Desserts. To start we enjoyed the Dim Sum Platter , Japanese Chicken Wings and Japanese Edamame. For the main courses we had the Scallops with vegetables , cashew nuts and steamed rice as well as the Ho Fun Noodles , Szechuan chilli and mixed seafood which were both delicious. They then kindly made us a special dessert to finish. The food is amazing and the team are very friendly so I would highly recommend a visit. If you like South East Asian food, it’s absolutely lovely and reasonably priced with lots of menu options. Kids meal is great value. Been here a couple of times and loved it. Set menu is great specially the salt and pepper lamb ribs! Matcha mochi is superb too.
Visited for the second time in two weeks, as the food and service were phenomenal! My dad is from Hong Kong, so it was incredibly refreshing to have authentic Chinese food (which is understandably sparse in the Hornchurch area). Furthermore, the waitress was extremely accommodating and kind. Would recommend the Gravy with Ho Fun dish (wat tan ho) and I absolutely loved the Szechuan Chilli Ho Fun as well! Can’t wait to revisit and try out more dishes and couldn’t recommend Bento enough!
Very impressed. Highly recommend! Food is delicious. I need to find better words that can give them the credit it deserves. It’s now my go to Chinese restaurant! We went twice with a space of a week! Once for lunch set menu £10-20pp and once for dinner £20-30pp including drinks for both. So happy to have crispy noodles! Not many places do this in the area (I travel all the way from Grays!) Happy with the service and portions. Atmosphere and furnishings make it very pleasant to eat in.
